The Ephraim Amu Memorial Lecture which was instituted in 1998 to commemorate the achievements of a humble and dedicated man from Peki Avetile, who devoted his entire life to cultural nationalism. An educationist, reformist and creative musician, Dr Ephraim Amu left a mark on Ghana’s cultural memory perhaps more than any of his contemporaries. The lectures have over the years hosted great speakers such as Prof. Kofi Agawu, Dr. Letitia E. Obeng,Prof. Ablade Glover and the late Prof. Emeritus J. H. Kwabena Nketia (the grandfather of M.anifest)
Born Kwame Ametepe Tsikata to Reverend Dr Priscilla Naana Nketia, a lawyer and pastor and Tsatsu Tsikata: the multiple awards winner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Macalester College in the United States of America. M.anifest has successfully created a sound that can be described as unique and one that many describe as a genre on it's own.
